Remington Rolling Block Rifle

Description

Amazing piece of history , Fair condition Remington Rolling Block in 50-70 Govt.  This is a bit of an unusual one, it appears to have the 3 barrel bands and finish of a Springfield 1871 US Issue Rifle , however only has the Patent Markings as shown.

Action is crisp firing pin freely moves.

Excellent piece of American History. Of course this Antique Firearm should not be fired unless inspected by a knowledgeable gunsmith.

Note that some parts of the barrel have pitting, as well as some sanded portions.

Odd Cross Stamps in stock , possibly unit markings .
