Allen and Thurber Single Shot Pistol , .36 Cal

Unique old piece of history here.  Allen and Thurber were separate gunsmiths who , together with their firm created these as well as Pepperbox.  Their catalogue is quite vast, and these were used all around, including in the Civil War.  Single Shot Pistol model was most likely a simple civilian purchase, and has a well worn finish.
